Wiseman Settles Superfund Coverage Suit Against TIG

Law360, New York (July 18, 2013, 7:52 PM EDT) -- Wiseman Oil Co. Inc. has resolved demands that TIG Insurance Co. provide coverage after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency targeted it over an estimated $26 million Superfund site cleanup, according to documents entered in Pennsylvania federal court Wednesday.

Wiseman entered its voluntary dismissal after the two sides reached a mediated settlement, according to court records, ending a fight over indemnity for an underlying suit in which Wiseman was accused of contributing to pollution at a site where it operated an oil refinery from 1978 to 1982....
