Senate Panel Clears DOJ's Hughes For Fed. Circ. Slot

Law360, New York (July 18, 2013, 6:02 PM EDT) -- The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday approved the nomination of a top U.S. Department of Justice lawyer for a seat on the Federal Circuit, while also sending four other district court nominations to the Senate floor for a vote.

In a voice vote, the committee OK’d Todd M. Hughes for the Federal Circuit post. Hughes, whose nomination will now go before the Senate for a full vote, is currently the deputy director of the DOJ civil division’s commercial litigation branch.
