Sarah Murnaghan, who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at 18 months old, had been fighting for her life ever since her diagnosis. She has been in and out of the hospital since her diagnosis, and her need for new lungs became emergent about 18 months ago when her lung capacity was reduced to 30 percent.
