Detroit Bankruptcy Judge Won't Delay Proceedings

Law360, New York (July 22, 2013, 2:13 PM EDT) -- The newly appointed bankruptcy judge overseeing Detroit’s Chapter 9 case on Monday cast aside retirees’ efforts to halt the insolvency proceedings, saying he has jurisdiction over the matter despite a state judge’s ruling challenging the constitutionality of the bankruptcy.
