FDA Targets 15 Companies Over Bogus Diabetes Treatments

Law360, New York (July 23, 2013, 6:01 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday warned 15 companies that their diabetes treatments were unapproved or otherwise violated federal law, saying it was seeking to remove the products from the market because they are unsafe.

Many of the companies say their products prevent or treat diabetes when the FDA has not authorized such claims, according to the agency. The FDA advised consumers not to use the products or others like them.
