BP, Energy Cos. Sued For Billions Over La. Coastal Damage

Law360, New York (July 24, 2013, 5:54 PM EDT) -- Louisiana flooding authorities launched a mammoth suit Wednesday seeking billions of dollars in damages against nearly 100 energy giants, including subsidiaries of BP PLC and Anadarko Petroleum Corp., that stand accused of ravaging coastal lands with their oil and gas drilling activities.
