New Outpatient Codes Threaten To Shortchange Hospitals

Law360, New York (July 24, 2013, 5:38 PM EDT) -- Medicare’s new plan to dramatically streamline billing codes for outpatient care will soothe administrative headaches, but it will also open the door to hospitals being underpaid or overpaid depending on whether their patients tend to be relatively sick or healthy, experts say.
