La. Gov. Bashes Levee Board's Multibillion-Dollar Oil Co. Suit

Law360, New York (July 25, 2013, 6:39 PM EDT) -- Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal on Wednesday asked the state levee board targeting dozens of energy giants — including BP PLC and ConocoPhillips — to drop its multibillion-dollar lawsuit blaming the industry for coastal land loss, saying it had “overstepped its authority” by proceeding with the suit without his approval.
