Miami Exec Wants Conviction Tossed In $40M Investor Scheme

Law360, New York (July 26, 2013, 3:24 PM EDT) -- A Miami Beach-area executive who was convicted on charges that he and a colleague conned investors in bankrupt manufacturing company InnoVida Holdings LLC out of $40 million urged a Florida federal judge Thursday to overturn his conviction, saying he was unaware of the scheme.
