Daewoo Wins $709M Contract To Build Iraqi Gas Facility

Law360, New York (July 29, 2013, 4:29 PM EDT) -- South Korea's Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. has landed a $708.6 million contract to develop the Akkas onshore gas field in Iraq's Anbar province, according to a statement by Iraq's Cabinet on Sunday.

Daewoo, a global leader in the design, construction and implementation of natural gas and LNG facilities, will provide engineering and other services for a new central processing facility at the natural gas field, the statement said.
