EPA Deals Enable $30M Urban St. Louis Cleanup Project

Law360, New York (July 30, 2013, 4:11 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Monday that it has entered into settlements with a pair of companies that will enable work to begin on a long-awaited $30 million cleanup project in urban St. Louis by the end of the summer. 

Separate administrative settlement agreements with ACF Industries Inc. and Carter Building Inc. will clear the way for environmental remediation efforts at the Carter Carburetor Superfund Site in northern St. Louis to commence within the next month, the agency said.
