Nev. Enviros Sue To Halt Reno Road Project

Law360, Washington (July 30, 2013, 7:00 PM EDT) -- A Nevada environmental advocacy group sued the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Monday to halt the planned expansion of a major road in southeast Reno that it says would damage the environment and lead to excess flooding.

The Upper South East Communities Coalition in Washoe County asked a federal judge to demand that the Army Corps conduct a more rigorous environmental inspection before it is allowed to build the so-called Southeast Connector, a 5.5-mile connecting road that would run between southeast Reno and Sparks, Nevada....
