Health Advocates Push Pa. House Panel For More Medicaid

Law360, Philadelphia (August 1, 2013, 1:12 PM EDT) -- A representative for Pennsylvania health care centers on Thursday urged state legislators to push for legislation expanding Medicaid in the state, arguing that expansion was crucial for hospitals to receive the benefits of the Affordable Care Act.

Brian Eury, the regional director of the Delaware Valley Healthcare Council of the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, told the House Democratic Policy Committee that hospitals' support of the ACA was contingent upon Medicaid expansion.
