Gazprom, Total To Invest $130M In Bolivian Oil Field

Law360, New York (August 1, 2013, 5:11 PM EDT) -- Russia's Gazprom OAO and France's Total SA will invest $130 million to explore a giant gas and condensate field in Bolivia, including drilling two exploratory wells, the Bolivian state-owned energy company announced Thursday.

The deal includes an agreement to form a joint stock company if the oil giants make a successful discovery at the field, which is located in several provinces in Bolivia. The roughly 765,000-hectare field is run by Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Boliviano, the country's state-run oil company.
