Keppel Secures $200M Oil Rig Contract For Mexico Project

Law360, New York (August 2, 2013, 2:58 PM EDT) -- The rig design and operating subsidiary of Singapore energy and infrastructure conglomerate Keppel Corp. Ltd. has signed a $206 million contract with Uruguay's Parden Holding to build a jack-up rig for an offshore oil project in Mexico, Keppel said Friday.

The subsidiary, Keppel FELS, said the rig will be delivered to Parden for use off the coast of Mexico in the fourth quarter of 2015. The rig will be able to operate in water depths up to 400 feet and drill to roughly 30,000 feet below...
