CMS Cuts Pay To Hospitals With High Readmission Rates

Law360, Los Angeles (August 2, 2013, 9:57 PM EDT) -- The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will reduce by 1 percent payments to hospitals with high rates of readmitted patients and adjust the amount it pays to hospitals that serve a large number of low-income patients, according to a rule issued Friday.
