Law360, New York (February 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Limelight Networks faces a narrowly focused patent trial, now that a federal court has issued a summary judgment of noninfringement regarding one patent in a suit brought by Akamai Technologies. The decision, combined with a previous agreement, drops the number of patents at issue from three to one.
The suit, brought by Akamai in 2006, alleges that Limelight infringed its patents for media delivery technology. Trial is set to start next week.
