Tyson Seeks High Court Review Of What "Work" Is

Law360 (February 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Lawyers are challenging a U.S. appeals court ruling that did away with the long-standing notion that compensable work must entail exertion and are calling on the Supreme Court to resolve the conflict.

Monday's petition for a writ of certiorari was filed with the Supreme Court by attorneys for poultry processors Tyson Foods Inc., which faces more than 30 wage-and-hour lawsuits on behalf of tens of thousands of factory workers across the country.
