Accused 'Porn Troll' Firm Prenda Law Dissolves

Law360, New York (August 5, 2013, 7:37 PM EDT) -- Embattled law firm Prenda Law, an accused so-called porn copyright troll hit with heavy sanctions earlier this year by a California federal judge, is no more.

According to the website of the Illinois Secretary of State, the Chicago-based partnership was voluntarily dissolved on July 26.

The dissolution won't mean the end of the controversy surrounding Prenda and a small group of associated people who allegedly used the firm and other businesses for the purpose of filing copyright suits related to porn videos, and then pressured downloaders into low-figure...
