ITC Should Ban 'Infringing' Tattoo Machine Parts, Judge Says

Law360, New York (August 6, 2013, 5:15 PM EDT) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission judge has determined that the Canadian tattoo equipment maker T-Tech Tattoo Device Inc. unlawfully imported ink-injecting needle cartridges that infringed the U.S. patent of a German tattoo machine manufacturer, the patent holder said Tuesday.

Administrative Law Judge Charles Bullock on July 17 issued an initial determination that T-Tech's needle cartridges, designed for use with MT.Derm GmbH's patented machines, as well as tattoo grips allowing the needles to be used with conventional tattoo machines, infringed U.S. Patent No. 6,505,530, covering ink-application technology....
