Primary Health Holds On To $9.6M Bad-Faith Win

Law360, New York (August 7, 2013, 3:18 PM EDT) -- Primary Health Inc. has defeated a challenge from Hudson Insurance Co. and TIG Insurance Co. to its $9.65 million victory in a bad-faith suit over the insurers' handling of a medical malpractice lawsuit stemming from a patient's death, according to an order filed Monday.

Judge Deborah Bail refused to modify an Idaho state jury verdict providing $2.4 million in compensatory damages and $7.25 million in punitive damages to Primary Health.
