Head Of Federal Health IT Office Announces Departure

Law360, New York (August 6, 2013, 8:00 PM EDT) -- The national coordinator for health information technology is stepping down after roughly two years in his role, he announced Tuesday.

Farzad Mostashari, who first joined the Office of the National Coordinator in 2009 as its principal deputy national coordinator, told colleagues in an email Tuesday that he did not have specific plans for his next move after his exit from public service. Mostashari also did not indicate a reason for the decision in the email, saying only that it was difficult to announce the move....
