Ambulance Co. Rural/Metro Seeks OK For Restructuring Deal

Law360, Wilmington (August 8, 2013, 2:13 PM EDT) -- Ambulance company Rural/Metro Corp. asked a Delaware bankruptcy court Wednesday to approve the restructuring support agreement it struck with creditors aimed at halving more than $700 million in debt, revealing details about how the private equity-owned company hopes its case will go.

In a motion filed in Delaware bankruptcy court, the company said that the support agreement, which it called the linchpin of its restructuring, had the backing of at least 75 percent of its prepetition unsecured bonds and at least 60 percent of prepetition secured...
