Massive Coverage Fight Over Hawaii Dam Collapse Revived

Law360, New York (August 8, 2013, 7:44 PM EDT) -- A Hawaii appeals court on Wednesday revived a coverage lawsuit against 17 insurers over a disastrous dam collapse in 2006 that killed seven people and caused extensive property damage in Kauai.

In a 45-page ruling, the appeals court nixed a lower court's decision letting all 17 insurers off the hook in a coverage fight with C. Brewer & Co. Ltd., the state of Hawaii and others.
