National Union Escapes Paying More In Valspar Tort Defense

Law360, New York (August 9, 2013, 6:57 PM EDT) -- A Minnesota federal judge on Friday refused to up National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa.'s share of defense costs in lawsuits leveled by former employees and others against Valspar Corp. over alleged benzene exposure.

U.S. District Judge John Tunheim turned down a request from Continental Casualty Co. that National Union pay one-sixth, rather than one-seventh, of Valspar's defense costs.
