SEC General Counsel Prezioso To Step Down

Law360, New York (December 1, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- With the departure of veteran general counsel Giovanni Prezioso, the Securities and Exchange Commission is faced with yet another high-level vacancy to fill.

Prezioso, who served under three SEC chiefs and was named general counsel in April 2002., said he planned to return to the private sector. He has not yet accepted another position and will remain at the SEC until early 2006 to assist with transition matters.
