Carlyle Sells Arinc To Rockwell Collins In $1.39B Deal

Law360, New York (August 12, 2013, 2:51 PM EDT) -- In an effort to expand and diversify its business in the aviation industry, Rockwell Collins Inc. has struck a $1.39 billion cash deal to take over information system manufacturer Arinc. Inc. from The Carlyle Group, Rockwell announced Sunday.

Rockwell plans to finance a major chunk of the deal with debt — much of it long-term to take advantage of low interest rates — with the rest being covered by the issuance of new commercial paper, Patrick Allen, Rockwell Collins' senior vice president and chief financial officer,...
