RJR Can't Nix $3M Smoking Verdict In Fla. Appeals Court

Law360, Miami (August 14, 2013, 3:20 PM EDT) -- A Florida appeals court on Wednesday affirmed a $3.2 million jury award against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. for the widow of a lifelong smoker, ruling that the onset of the husband's peripheral vascular disease before 1996 meant that his widow was eligible for membership in the decertified Engle class.
