Philly Firm Settles With Attorney In Fee-Share Dispute

Law360, Philadelphia (August 15, 2013, 4:56 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania attorney on Monday reached a settlement in state court with his former firm in a dispute over his alleged refusal to split fees from shareholder suits that he initiated at the firm.

No details were available in the one-page notice of settlement between Samuel Simon — along with two New York-based derivative attorneys — and his former employer, Philadelphia-based boutique business law firm Jacobs Law Group. The case had been stayed since May for settlement talks.
