Financial Security Assurance Gets Wells Notice

Law360, New York (February 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is considering bringing a civil injunctive action and instituting administrative proceedings against Dexia SA subsidiary Financial Security Assurance Holdings Ltd. over suspected violations of federal securities laws.

Financial Security Assurance Holdings Ltd. – the holding company for monoline bond insurer Financial Security Assurance Inc. – received a Wells Notice from the SEC's Philadelphia office on Feb. 4, the company said in a Form 8-K, filed with the SEC on Thursday.
