More Info Needed To Limit Keystone's Enviro Impact, DOI Says

Law360, New York (August 16, 2013, 5:17 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of State should include precise mitigation steps to protect land, water and wildlife in its final environmental review of the Keystone XL pipeline, the Department of Interior said in its official comments on the controversial project, which were published on Thursday.

The Keystone project has the potential to affect resources at seven units of the National Park System and a unit of the National Wildlife Refuge System, as well as a national historic landmark, the DOI said.
