NC Hits Duke Units With Water Contamination Suits

Law360, New York (August 19, 2013, 4:05 PM EDT) -- Expanding a recent regulatory push against Duke Energy Corp. ash ponds, the state of North Carolina hit the company with a pair of lawsuits Friday alleging violations of state water-quality statues at 12 of Duke's current and retired coal-fired electric plants.
