Fla. Gov. Raises Privacy Red Flags Over ACA 'Navigators'

Law360, Miami (August 20, 2013, 9:09 PM EDT) -- Florida Gov. Rick Scott and his cabinet during a meeting Tuesday in Miami voiced concerns about the federal government's plans for hiring and training so-called navigators for the new federal health care program and the handling of personal information they will collect as they enroll citizens.

Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius announced during a visit last week that non-profit organizations in the state will receive $7.8 million dollars — of a total $67 million in federal funding — to hire and train navigators...
