Only Pa. High Court Can Stop Gay Marriage Licenses: Clerk

Law360, Philadelphia (August 20, 2013, 4:52 PM EDT) -- A court clerk in suburban Philadelphia said that only the Pennsylvania Supreme Court had the authority to stop him from unilaterally issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples, responding Monday to a lawsuit filed by the state's Department of Health.
