Dubai Authority Details Plans For 1,200-MW Clean Coal Plant

Law360, New York (August 20, 2013, 1:17 PM EDT) -- The state-owned Dubai Electricity and Water Authority on Tuesday sketched out plans for a 1,200-megawatt clean coal power plant that would be the first of its kind in the Gulf region, as part of a wider effort to diversify the city's energy mix.

DEWA did not say how much it expected the project to cost, though its announcement of plans comes as it is recruiting bidders.
