Whirlpool Beats LG's Ice-Dispenser Patent Claims

Law360, Los Angeles (August 20, 2013, 9:41 PM EDT) -- Whirlpool Corp. didn’t infringe LG Electronics Inc.’s patent for ice-dispensing refrigerators with a design it was seeking to patent because the design in question would be obvious to any refrigerator maker, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office found in a decision filed Tuesday.
