BSEE Rule Toughens Offshore Oil Production System Regs

Law360, New York (August 21, 2013, 6:50 PM EDT) -- The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement on Wednesday floated a rule that would update and tighten 25-year-old safety standards for offshore oil and gas production systems, in an effort to keep up with technological advances that have sent the industry into deeper waters.
