EEOC Ducks Sanctions In Evans Fruit Sex Harassment Row

Law360, New York (August 22, 2013, 2:15 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Washington state declined Wednesday to award sanctions to an Evans Fruit Co. Inc. farm foreman accused of sexual harassment in an unsuccessful U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission suit, saying the suit was not without merit.

U.S. District Judge Lonny R. Suko found Juan Marin, who was the primary target of the sexual harassment allegations, could not show that the substance of the allegations violated the court's rules of procedure, even if they were ultimately unsuccessful.
