Canada Considers Duties On Copper Tube Imports

Law360, New York (August 22, 2013, 6:29 PM EDT) -- Canada on Wednesday began the final phase of an investigation to determine whether certain types of copper tube from China, Brazil, South Korea, Greece and Mexico being sold at below fair market prices are harming the local metal industry.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal said it has begun the final phase of its inquiry after determining last month that copper tube from those five countries was being dumped on the domestic market. Canada has also determined that China has been unfairly subsidizing its copper steel exports....
