PPL, Enviros Spar Over $247M Pa. Power Line Project

Law360, New York (August 27, 2013, 1:46 PM EDT) -- A $247 million plan by PPL Electric Utilities Corp. to construct nearly 70 miles of high-voltage power lines in the Pocono Mountains would rob municipalities of local zoning control and threaten a number of high-value wilderness areas, two opponents of the project told Pennsylvania utility regulators Monday.
