SEC's White To Meet With Exchange Heads Over Nasdaq Glitch

Law360, New York (August 27, 2013, 1:14 PM EDT) -- U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Mary Jo White has scheduled a Sept. 12 meeting with the heads of U.S. stock exchanges to discuss a recent glitch that halted trading on the Nasdaq for three hours, the agency said Tuesday.

The meeting will address a market data dissemination system that failed during the Aug. 22 incident, as well as "other critical infrastructure issues," SEC spokesman John Nester said, according to a Twitter post by the agency. The meeting will involve the heads of exchanges and self-regulatory...
