Law360, New York ( September 6, 2013, 11:45 AM EDT) -- The American Invents Act set forth a new opportunity for applicants to respond to the sizable U.S. Patent and Trademark Office examination delays. As of Sept. 26, 2011, applicants could file a request for prioritized examination. Acceptance into the "Track 1" program causes the application to be accorded special status during prosecution.
