Genesco Pushes To Recoup Visa Fines In $13M Data Theft Suit

Law360, New York (August 29, 2013, 6:58 PM EDT) -- Retailer Genesco Inc. last week sped up its push to recoup part of the $13.3 million in damages that it alleges Visa Inc. wrongly assessed following a data breach, arguing in Tennessee federal court that California law bars Visa from collecting fines for alleged violations of contract terms on data security.
