HP's Patent Claims V. Tandberg Dwindle To One

Law360, New York (February 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Hewlett-Packard's patent counterclaims against a company that makes computer storage devices are slowly dwindling. The computer giant has now dropped two of its claims against Tandberg Data Corp., leaving only one.

When Tandberg filed its patent infringement suit against HP in 2006, HP initially responded with counterclaims that Tandberg had infringed on three of HP's patents, all related to magnetic tapes used to back up data.
