GSK China Allegedly Had A Hand In Bribery Scheme

Law360, New York (September 3, 2013, 6:44 PM EDT) -- Chinese authorities and executives from GlaxoSmithKline PLC’s China operations have indicated that the British drugmakers’ alleged scheme to bribe local doctors to win business was not the work of individual salespeople gone rogue but the result of a concerted plan by GSK itself, according to reports Tuesday by Chinese media. 

GSK China executives told China’s official press outlet Xinhua News Agency that the company’s high sales growth targets and a compensation scheme that would have salespeople lose several thousand yuan each month for missing sales targets...
