USDA Clears Chinese Chicken Processors To Ship To US

Law360, New York (September 3, 2013, 7:32 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Friday gave its approval for certain poultry processing plants in China to export meat to the U.S., saying it has determined that China’s poultry processing inspection system is equal to American controls. 

In a news dump before the long holiday weekend, the USDA announced that four Chinese poultry processors have been cleared by the agency to export processed poultry that is heat-treated or cooked to the U.S., as long as the birds originate in the U.S. or another approved country...
