EPA Watchdog Faults Delays On Workload Management

Law360, New York (September 4, 2013, 3:18 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has not developed strategies to manage its heavy workload as budgetary constraints continue to thin its ranks despite admonitions from an internal agency watchdog, according to a report released Tuesday.

The EPA's inspector general reviewed the agency's progress on implementing reforms that were recommended in three reports on its workforce and workload management, and found that the majority of corrective response actions the agency promised to undertake were not finished in a timely manner.
