Callidus Seeks To Nix Versata Patent In AIA Review

Law360, New York (September 4, 2013, 5:35 PM EDT) -- Callidus Software Inc. asked the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office last week to use the America Invents Act's business method review program to invalidate a Versata Software Inc. patent for a method of processing sales transaction data, which Callidus said covers an abstract idea.

Versata sued Callidus in July in the District of Delaware, alleging that Callidus' TrueComp software for managing sales force employees infringes three patents.
