Conner Assumes Chief Judge Seat In Pa.'s Middle District

Law360, Philadelphia (September 5, 2013, 1:26 PM EDT) -- U.S. District Judge Christopher C. Conner took over the seat of chief judge in Pennsylvania’s Middle District Sunday, following the conclusion of the term of Judge Yvette Kane, who remains on the bench in Harrisburg.

Judge Conner, who also sits in Harrisburg, joined the federal judiciary in August 2001, after he was nominated by President George W. Bush. His term was awarded based on seniority, based on federal law, and will last for seven years.

Kane's seven-year term expired on Aug. 31.
