EIB Doles Out $200M To Czech Banks For Green Lending

Law360, New York (September 5, 2013, 3:43 PM EDT) -- The European Investment Bank on Thursday announced loans totaling nearly $200 million for clean energy efforts in the Czech Republic, part of an effort to spur renewable power investment in central and eastern Europe.

The EIB will loan Raiffeisenbank AS €100 million ($131 million) and Ceska Sporitelna AS €50 million ($65 million), to be re-lent to housing projects and energy companies for efficiency upgrades and green energy generation projects.
